Saved stacks and comparisons

PodStack stores your selected tools and pricing choices in your browser's local storage. These selections are not synced to an account. Clear your stack in My stack and your comparison in Compare, or clear this site's storage in your browser. Shared links contain tool IDs and pricing choices, so anyone with the link can view that setup.

Episode Prep files and show presets

Episode Prep reads and processes the MP3 and artwork you choose in your browser. It does not upload those files, episode details, transcripts, writing drafts or chapter text to PodStack or an audio processing service. Optional transcription, chapters, writing, audio checks and moment tools run on your device. Closing or reloading the tab clears the loaded episode, transcript, reports and drafts. Downloaded copies are saved through your browser and remain on your device.

Save show preset stores only the podcast name and author in this browser's local storage. Use Clear saved preset in Episode Prep, or clear PodStack's site data in your browser settings, to remove it. Presets do not sync across devices.

All extra tools start off. Selecting one opens its controls; a separate Start action begins processing. Selected speech, chapter and writing tools download their models from Hugging Face, and processing files from this site. These downloads reveal ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, to the file providers; they do not include your recording or transcript or writing prompts. Model saving is off by default. If you choose Save models for later in this browser, each model pack uses its own PodStack cache. Its Remove button deletes the saved model files. Audio, transcripts and drafts are never stored in those caches. Model metadata requests may still need a connection after files are saved. Ordinary website files may be cached by your browser independently.

Tool suggestions and corrections

The Submit a tool form sends the tool name, category, website address and suggestion or correction you enter to PodStack directly. Submissions are stored in PodStack's own database and emailed to the PodStack review inbox. PodStack uses them to review suggestions and maintain the directory. Include only information relevant to the tool or correction.

The form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam. Turnstile may check browser signals before you submit. When you complete the challenge, PodStack verifies the response with Cloudflare and records your IP address for up to 24 hours to enforce a submission limit. This limit exists so one source cannot flood the inbox.

Requests to other services

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and uses hosting infrastructure to deliver its pages. Those services receive technical request information such as an IP address and browser details. Following a vendor, source or advertisement link takes you to that organization's website and privacy practices.

Advertising

Ads on PodStack help support free access to its tools and directory. Advertising placements are separate from editorial listings and do not influence rankings or recommendations. Episode Prep does not provide your recordings, transcripts or writing drafts to advertisers.
