LALAL.AI splits mixed audio into stems and can pull vocals, instrumentals, and other parts out of a finished file. Podcasters use it when a guest track is buried, a bed needs to move, or a noisy recording needs a cleaner voice before the edit continues in a real DAW.

It is a surgical separator, not a timeline editor. You still cut story, levels, and loudness somewhere else. Dense live rooms and heavy overlap still need human judgment after the split.

Starter is always free with a tiny Relaxed Queue allotment so you can hear quality before paying. Lite includes unlimited Relaxed Queue use plus 90 Fast Queue minutes each month. Pro raises Fast minutes and adds the VST plugin, local desktop processing and API access.

Minutes come from file duration (and from chosen stem outputs on some splitter modes). Fast Queue minutes vanish at period end; Relaxed Queue on paid plans is unlimited but waits for capacity. Buy top-ups only when a deadline needs Fast speed.

MusicRadar's independent comparison ranked LALAL.AI strongly for cloud stem recognition while criticizing its interface and pricing. Its later plugin review says the local Lyra model is lower quality than cloud-only Andromeda and currently separates vocals from instrumentals; broader local multi-stem support was still only planned.
