OpusClip

OpusClip is a clip factory. You drop in a long video. It finds moments and hands you a stack of captioned shorts. Set your look once, paste this week's episode, skip the intro and ads if you do not need them, then watch before you post. A half hour to an hour of show can come back with a couple dozen candidates. Captions and the vertical crop happen on their own. Free clips stay watermarked. Paid drops the watermark and lets you post.

It is for a weekly interview that already has video, and a person who will spend an hour sorting. It is not for someone who wants the tool to publish unsupervised. It is not for an audio-only show that refuses to make a picture. The people who stay already have an hour of talk every week and hate hunting it by hand.

The appeal is generating candidate clips and captions from a longer recording. Treat ranking scores and suggested cuts as editorial starting points. Review the captions, context and cut boundaries before publishing; a score does not predict audience response.

Credits are what bites later. You pay for the length of the episode you import, not for how many clips you keep. A 60 minute episode costs 60 credits whether you export five clips or thirty. Unused credits expire. Cancel and leftover credits still die on their original date. Help says projects are gone in a few days after cancel.

Set your look before the first upload or every clip will look like a demo. Skip the intro and ads so they do not eat credits. Tell it the actual topic if it keeps grabbing the wrong joke. Uncheck automatic filler cleanup if you want to keep the breaths. Watch captions for names. If you hate their editor, send the clips out to the editor you already use.

OpusClip is a sorter with captions, not a strategy. The credit clock on the source file is the deal. If you will watch the pile, it holds. If you need every clip to be the episode, people already cut those moments by hand.
