Pinecast does the job a host is supposed to do. It stores your audio, generates a valid feed, submits nowhere on your behalf that you did not ask for, and shows you download numbers that are not inflated by autoplay tricks.
It suits a show that is a hobby and intends to stay one, or a small internal podcast where the point is a working feed rather than a growth engine. The pricing is gentle and the interface does not sell you AI clips every third click.
The tradeoff is scale and staffing. This is not a company with a sales floor. If a feature you need does not exist today, it may not exist next quarter either. Support is responsive but human sized.
Pick it when you want a host that stays out of the way. Skip it when the business plan depends on features a bigger platform already ships.
