The later pain is what Lite withholds, and what the design is not. Lite will not give you a track per voice. A mixed or split stereo file is a different edit than four people on four files. Because the recording lives on the host machine, a bad host connection can still mark the take, even if it sounds better than a meeting app. Firefox and Safari are guest browsers. The studio wants a Chrome-class host. iPhone as host is not ready. If you wanted a local file on the guest laptop that survives a drop, this is the wrong shelf.

Practical start: open Lite, send one real guest a shareable link, headphones on both ends, confirm the mic in the gear menu, then record a short real interview. Stay until the browser saves the file. If you need every voice apart, try Pro for a month on a session you will actually edit. Turn repair on only for the guest who cannot wear headphones. Keep the full-quality files next to your usual editor. Do not host from a phone.
