Listen Notes is the independent search box for podcasts and episodes. You type a name, a topic, a place. You find the show. The public site is free. That is the product most hosts actually open. The API is a different shop for apps and developers. Rephonic is the pitching desk, already live. This is find-that-episode, not send-the-email.

It fits a host booking guests who have already been on ten shows. It fits a producer hunting a clip or a mention. It fits a researcher who needs the long tail, not only the charts. It does not fit a PR team that wanted verified emails and a mail merge. Do not buy the API because you wanted a nicer website search.

What people keep the site for is coverage. Millions of shows, constantly updated. Filters. Similar shows. A way to look up a person across episodes. Premium Super Search exists for people who use the site at work. The public Premium page hid the exact daily price behind login. This listing does not invent that dollar. The API card is public: free 300 requests, then PRO at $200 once you make a request.

The later pain is mixing the products. Website Premium is not API access. Billing FAQ says that out loud. PRO has no refunds. Apps that show API data must show their logo. You may not cache the content on your server on PRO. Use zero requests on PRO and that month is $0. Use one request and the base fee is $200. That is the tripwire.

Search the site for free first. If you are booking, save the shows and write your own outreach. If you are building a product, start on API FREE and watch the 300 cap. Upgrade to PRO only when production traffic is real. Do not scrape. They will suspend you. Keep API keys off the front end.

Listen Notes is a search engine. The deal is finding the episode. If you will hunt and then pitch by hand, it holds. If you wanted a contact database, people already buy Rephonic or Podchaser Pro.
