Rephonic

Rephonic is a giant list of podcasts, not a host. You search a topic, open a show, and see estimates for listeners, charts, socials, and sometimes an email. You save shows to a list, then export a spreadsheet or send a pitch. A show is marked active if it published in the last couple of months. Icons hint at who might take sponsors or guests. Related shows follow what Apple thinks listeners also subscribe to.

It fits someone booking guests or hunting cross-promos who is tired of a new spreadsheet every Monday. It does not fit a host who only needs their own download counts. It does not fit anyone who wants a guaranteed email. Cheaper plans cap how many searches you get. When you run out, search waits until next month. The trial is even thinner: a handful of searches, no export.

The appeal is narrowing a large podcast directory using filters and keeping outreach research near the show profile. Check the current contact-data allowance and research-credit rules before paying; a directory record is not a guarantee that a contact is current.

The listener number is an estimate. The founder has said the point is to rank who to pitch, then ask the host for real downloads. It is worse on non-English shows and on very small shows. They will not stand behind estimates under 500 downloads an episode. A public test on 14 shows called it useful for ranking, not good enough for a rate card. Emails bounce. Treat the count and the address as a lead, not a fact.

Search your niche, then filter before you burn searches. Changing filters does not spend a search. A new query does. Build one list per pitch wave. Export only when the list is tight. For your own show, use similar shows to find swap partners, then still ask them for real numbers before you quote a sponsor.

Rephonic is a phone book with a ranking, not a ratings office. If you need to thin millions of shows down to 40, it holds. If you need a number for a sponsor deck, people already ask the host or look at OP3.
