PowerPress
Blubrry's free WordPress plugin that turns any WordPress site into a full podcast website with feed control.
PodStack editorial · Product research. How we review tools
PowerPress is a free plugin from Blubrry that adds podcasting features directly into WordPress, RSS feed generation, episode pages, embeddable players, and iTunes tags, all inside the CMS you may already be using for a blog or business site.
It fits people who already have or want a WordPress site anyway, and would rather manage their podcast from the same dashboard as their blog posts and pages instead of a separate tool.
The tradeoff is you're taking on WordPress itself: hosting, security updates, theme compatibility, and the general maintenance burden that comes with a self managed CMS, rather than a service that handles that for you.
Pairing it with a dedicated media host like Blubrry's own paid hosting, rather than storing audio files directly on your web host, keeps bandwidth costs sane.
