TwistedWave is a mono and stereo audio editor that opens instantly and does destructive edits fast. Voice actors use it because the loop between record, trim, process, and export is shorter than in any full DAW.
For a narrated solo podcast it is a real option. Batch processing, good normalisation, and an iOS app that is genuinely capable make it useful when the show is one voice.
It is not a multitrack tool. Interviews with separate guest tracks belong in Reaper, Audition, or Hindenburg.
Buy it if your work is one voice at a time. Otherwise it will feel like a beautifully sharp knife with no handle for the job you brought.
