Klaviyo
A major email and SMS marketing platform, powerful but built with ecommerce workflows front and center.
PodStack editorial · Product research. How we review tools
Klaviyo built its reputation as an ecommerce email and SMS platform, with automation flows tied to purchase behavior, abandoned carts, and customer lifetime value, deeper than what a typical newsletter tool offers.
For a podcast that also sells merchandise or a physical product tied to the show, connecting that store data to email marketing opens up automations most newsletter platforms simply don't support.
For a show that's just sending a weekly digest with no store attached, Klaviyo's ecommerce-specific tools go unused, and the pricing, which climbs with list size, starts to look expensive for what's actually being used.
Worth it specifically if commerce is part of your podcast's business model, otherwise a dedicated newsletter platform will do the job for less.
