Who it is for

Hosts who want a familiar fan membership page, bonus episodes or ad-free feeds, community posts, and private RSS for paying members.

Who it is not for

Networks that need a white-label subscription product with no Patreon branding, or anyone who refuses a percentage cut of every payment.

Starting price

Free to start; new creator pages take 10% of income earned on Patreon, plus payment processing, currency conversion, payout fees, and applicable taxes (price checked 2026-09-14 from patreon.com/product/pricing and Patreon Help creator-fees overview). US card / Apple Pay processing commonly cited as 2.9% + $0.30 on qualifying payments. Legacy creators on older plans may still sit on 5%/8%/11% rates if they never unpublished.

The gotcha

The cut is on every dollar you earn there, and processing fees stack on top, so the headline 10% is not your all-in cost.

Patreon is still the membership brand most listeners already understand. Podcasters use it for bonus episodes, early access, ad-free feeds, and community posts.

Members get a private RSS link for apps that accept custom feeds, with Spotify sync options on the creator side. It is broader than a pure private-feed product: community and posts are part of the deal.

Catalog already has Substack for letter-plus-show, but not Patreon. Comparison writeups still put Patreon next to Supercast and Supporting Cast for podcast memberships.
