Brand-new shows with no audience yet, or creators who need courses, community, and newsletters in the same login.

The gotcha

The fee scales with every paying subscriber, and Spotify linking still breaks for some listeners even when Apple works.

Supercast hosts the premium episodes and hands each payer a private RSS link that works in Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, and friends. You keep your public show on whatever host you already use; Supercast can sync those free episodes in.

Podnews lists it as the subscription layer behind heavily monetized shows (Kill Tony, Breaking Points, and others). It is not a community stack.

Discourse and comparisons keep praising the "stay in your podcast app" model and flag Spotify access friction plus the need for separate tools if you want forums or courses.
