Podimo operates as a subscription service with a mix of exclusive originals and a broader open podcast catalog, similar in spirit to what Spotify does with some of its own content deals. It has real subscriber numbers in several European and Latin American markets.

This fits shows with traction in Podimo's core markets who might be approached for, or want to pitch, an exclusive or early access arrangement that comes with actual payment attached.

The gotcha is that just being indexed passively in the open catalog doesn't unlock much value, the real upside comes from an actual content partnership, which involves negotiation and usually some exclusivity terms.

If Podimo isn't strong in your market, there's little downside to being listed passively, but don't expect meaningful reach without a deal behind it.
