Simple Analytics does exactly what the name says: pageviews, referrers, top pages, and basic device breakdown, with no cookies and no complicated setup. It's built for people who found Google Analytics overwhelming for a small site.
This suits a podcaster with a simple show notes website who just wants to glance at a number once a week and move on, not someone building a marketing funnel around their site.
It won't tell you anything about your podcast downloads, same limitation as every web analytics tool here, and it also won't give you deep behavioral insight even about the website itself.
Good for exactly what it claims to be, a calm alternative to bloated analytics dashboards, just don't expect it to grow with you into more advanced needs.
