Umami is open source website analytics software, similar in spirit to Plausible and Fathom, but you can run it yourself for free on your own server instead of paying a subscription. A hosted cloud version exists too for people who don't want to manage infrastructure.
This fits podcasters who already run a VPS for other things, or who like the idea of owning their website data outright rather than trusting it to a third party's servers.
Self hosting means you're responsible for updates and uptime, and it still only measures your website, not your podcast downloads across apps.
The hosted cloud plan removes the maintenance burden at a price similar to its paid competitors, so the self hosted route only really pays off if you enjoy running your own services.
