You pick camera and mic, send a guest a link, dress the frame with logos and overlays, then go live to YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social desks, or hit record without going live. Official pages say each person can also record on their own machine, so a weak connection does not have to ruin the file you edit later. Guests stay in the browser. No app install. Paid desks add more destinations, your own branding, and longer local takes.

It is for a weekly live talk show that wants to look like a show, not a meeting, and still keep a clean file for the podcast host. It is for a solo host who will run guests, comments, and a second destination without a producer. It is not for an audio-only interview that never needs a camera. It is not for a Mac desk that wants hardware switchers and isolated tracks on the computer. It is not a host. You still publish the episode where the apps already read your show.

A company domain can send you to Business, whose dollars are not on the public individuals page. Turn local recording on before you start, then stay until the files finish. Trustpilot threads that The Podcast Host flagged are about canceling a trial you forgot was running.

Practical start: make a free account on a personal email, run a private record with one real guest, and turn on local recording in Settings before you talk. Headphones, right mic, a tap test. Watch the live send and the downloaded files as two different products. If you will keep it, try Core on the 7-day trial, connect YouTube first, add a second destination only when that one is solid. Download the separate full-quality files even if the cloud mix looks fine. Cancel inside the trial if the desk is not yours.

StreamYard is a live social booth with a local backup, not a quiet interview closet. The deal is a guest link and a stream that looks finished. If you only need split audio and never go live, people already pick a recorder. If you want the live desk and will pay to lose the logo, this is still the usual easy vote.
