XSplit
A streaming and live production tool with call-in style remote guest support, more geared toward gaming and general livestreaming than podcasting specifically.
PodStack editorial · Product research. How we review tools
XSplit is a livestreaming and broadcasting tool originally built for gamers, but it works for video podcasts that want scene switching, overlays, and the ability to bring remote guests into a live broadcast.
It's a reasonable pick if your show already lives on Twitch or YouTube and you want one tool for both the live stream production and the guest call-in feature, rather than juggling separate apps.
The free tier includes a watermark and restricts some of the more useful production features, so most shows that use it seriously end up paying for a subscription.
It's less tailored to podcast-specific needs like local high-quality track recording for later editing, and more focused on the live broadcast itself.
